Preserving Our Environment for a Better Future

At Alutitan, we recognize the importance of protecting the environment in which we operate. For this reason, we have adopted a series of initiatives aimed at reducing our environmental impact and promoting sustainability.
 

Clean Energy

Our efforts to reduce carbon emissions and promote renewable energy date back to 2011 when we installed 3 photovoltaic systems on the roofs of our facilities, capable of producing a total of 376 MW/h of electricity. Thanks to this initiative, we are able to avoid emitting approximately 120 tons of CO2 annually. This translates into a significant contribution to the fight against climate change, helping to preserve our environment for future generations.
 

Recycling and Responsible Resource Management

To ensure a responsible and sustainable approach, we conduct careful assessments of energy consumption and waste at all stages of our production.

One of our main initiatives has been the purchase of equipment and machinery with higher energy efficiency. This investment allows us to reduce overall energy consumption and optimize our operations, while ensuring high-quality performance.

Regarding waste, our production generates over 10 million kilograms of product annually, with approximately 1,000,000 kilograms of aluminum as a byproduct. However, we are proud to declare that thanks to the inherently recyclable nature of aluminum, we are able to recycle 100% of the quantity produced. This not only reduces our overall environmental impact but also helps conserve the precious natural resources of our planet.

The commitment to environmental sustainability is underscored by the fact that Alutitan, in addition to being UNI EN ISO 14001 certified since 2008, has also obtained the EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) environmental certificate. All this confirms our commitment to work in respect of the world in which we live, ensuring transparency and reliability to our customers and stakeholders.
